In brief: 2 persons sit opposite each other, link hand and pull partner to stretch the back.
Intensity: Medium
Introduction: Stretch those aching back muscles!
Prop(s): None
How to play:
- Pair the participants up and ask them to sit on the floor (see picture).
- Each person places the base of his/her foot against the other.
- Both participants must hold each other’s hands firmly (do not interlock fingers!)
- One person will gently pull the other person forward, stretching his/her back muscle.
- Take turns to stretch each other.
- Start slow, and allow the other party to set the limit of the stretch.
Caution:
- Do not rock. This is a stretching exercise, not a warm-up.
- Watch out for those with a history of back injuries.
