In brief: First ‘B’ word, stand; next ‘B’ word sit.
Intensity: Low
Introduction: A quick filler for a large, seated audience in an auditorium.
Prop(s): None
How to play:
- The game uses the song “My Bonnie Lies Over The Ocean”.
- In case you can’t remember, here are the lyrics:
- my Bonnie lies over the ocean
- my Bonnie lies over the sea
- my Bonnie lies over the ocean
- oh Bring Back my Bonnie to me.
- Bring Back, Bring Back
- oh Bring Back my Bonnie to me, to me
- Bring Back, Bring Back
- oh Bring Back my Bonnie to me
- If the audience starts the game seated, they will have to stand up when a word starting with the letter B is sung.
- The next time the ‘B-word’ is mentioned, the audience will sit down.
Variation(s):
- Try a ‘lookout’ pose for a standing audience (see picture), alternating between looking to the right and left.

- Form a circle with all players facing the same direction. When the singing starts, all players will start walking in the same direction. They will switch to an opposite walking direction whenever they encounter the ‘B-word’.
