In brief: Half the team hold rope, half the team skip.
Intensity: High
Introduction: This is an innovative variation of the ‘Giant Skip’ activity created by a team of trainers from NACLI.
Prop(s): 3-metre ropes, enough for half the number of members in a team.
How to play:
- Half the team will be the rope-bearers and the other half will be the ‘skippers’.
- Ask the whole team to stand in a circle, alternating between the rope-bearers and the ‘skippers’.
- Each rope will be held by 2 rope-bearers with a ‘skipper’ in between them (i.e. bearer – ‘skipper’ – bearer – ‘skipper’ – bearer – ‘skipper’ – bearer – ‘skipper’ – back to the first bearer)
- The challenge is for all the ‘skippers’ to skip simultaneously as a team with the help of the rope-bearers.
- A successful skip is counted as one where all the ‘skippers’ clear a jump together and no one is tripped by the rope.

Variation(s):
Challenge the team to set a target for the highest number of successful consecutive skips. Should anyone trip at a skip, the counter is set back to zero.
