In brief: Players avoid ‘murdered’ by ‘it’.
Intensity: Medium
Introduction: A “who-dun-it” game.
Prop(s): None
How to play:
- This game needs to be played within a confined area.
- All the participants will close their eyes. No talking is allowed.
- You will walk around and tap on the shoulder of one participant, signalling that he/she is the ‘murderer’.
- Give the signal for all the participants to start moving around with their eyes closed, hands raised in the ‘bumper’ position (see ‘Police & Thief’).
- If the ’murderer’ comes into contact with anyone, he/she will form a ring (lightly, please) around the victim’s neck to signify a ‘strangling’.
- The ‘victim’ will open his/her eyes, shout and ‘die a dramatic death’ to signal that a ‘murder’ has occurred.
- The rest of the group will know that the murderer is close by.
- This continues until the murderer has ‘killed’ all his/her victims.
Caution:
- Since the participants are asked to close their eyes , ensure that the game area is cleared of obstruction.
- Remember to ‘strangle’ the ‘victim’ gently.
Variation(s):
- Have 2 ‘murderers’ instead of just 1. If the 2 ‘murderers’ happen to ‘strangle’ each other, they ‘kill’ themselves and the game ends.
