In brief: ‘Egg’ to ‘Chicken’ to ‘Eagle’ to ‘Superhero’ to ‘Immortal Being’
Intensity: Medium
Introduction: An excellent energiser for large groups. The objective is to evolve to the highest level possible.
Prop(s): None
How to play:
- There are 5 levels of life-forms. Each life-form is represented by a hand sign (see pictures below).
- The lowest life-form is an egg (i – make a circle with both hands together).
- Next level is that of a chicken (ii – hands tucked flapping up and down).
- Then comes the eagle (iii – arms extended and flapping like wings),
- Followed by ‘Superhero’ (iv – one arm extended forwards, the other tucked in),
- And finally, the ‘Immortal Being’ (v – arms folded in across the chest).
- Everyone starts as the lowest life-form – the egg.
- Each player will look for someone of the same evolution stage to play the ’Scissors, Paper, Rock’ game to determine the winner.
- The winner evolves to the next stage while the loser will be ‘banished’ to the previous stage.
- The ‘egg’ stage cannot go any lower.
- Once a player reaches the ‘Immortal Being’ stage, he/she has climbed to the top of the evolution chain and is considered to have completed the game. He/She will step out of the game and enjoy watching it from the side.
- You may stop the game when about 75% of the group members have reached the highest stage.
