In brief: The players form into groups based on a number called out by the Facilitator, those left-over perform forfeits.
Intensity: Medium
Introduction: Do you need to get your participants to form smaller teams for discussion or activities? The next series of games helps to do so in unusual ways.
Prop(s): None
How to play:
- Call out a number.
- The participants will form groups with that specified number of members and squat down.
- The ‘leftover’ participants who cannot form a group will have to perform a forfeit.
- Repeat a few times, calling out a different number each time.
- Reserve the desired number of members to the last.
Variation(s):
- Instead of just calling out numbers, specify body parts, e.g. “5 heads”, “30 fingers”, “20 toes”, “4 bumps ”, etc. The body parts must be in contact with one another.
Notes to the Facilitator: Do you need a quiet or noisy way to split the players into small groups? See ‘Shhh…’ and ‘Animal Farm’ respectively.
